Sometimes I Dream of Flying
38" x 41"   NFS

A hawk, viewed from above, flying over yellow, green and brown farm fields, with ten "Birds in the Air" quilt block borders on the top and bottom.

The bird was created on a separate piece of fabric by fusing many small dark brown feather-shaped pieces of fabric with thread painting on top with both a dark brown and a tan-colored thread to hold all the pieces down and to give more definition to the feathers.

Comes with a hanging sleeve and rod, ready to hang on a single nail.

This quilt was awarded second place in
Project Quilting, Season 2, Challenge 2, What's in a Name
