This art quilt "Learning to Fly" features a kite flying in the sky with three dimensional ties on the tail. The background fabric is hand dyed and the other fabrics are batiks, including the pieced binding. Yarn has been couched for kite string and fun fur yarn as the tail of the main quilt and inside the binding.
It is machine pieced, appliqued, couched, and quilted. It comes with a hanging sleeve and rod, ready to hang on a nail.
It could be hung in a baby's nursery or in a child's room.
